Nursing Homes Members - Vote on Bargaining Demands

On Thursday, March 7, we will host two meetings for participating nursing homes members that will give you the opportunity to vote on your demands in preparation for this round of negotiations.
Our Nursing Homes Provincial Negotiating Team has reviewed the results from the Have Your Say survey, listened to feedback from the two demand-setting meetings that front-line members attended, and incorporated your ideas and suggestions into our bargaining demands.
This is your chance to hear first-hand from your elected Provincial Negotiating Team. They will present amended collective agreement language developed from your demands, along with the reasoning behind this proposed language. You will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Members who attend the meeting will vote on the demands. There will be no voting by proxy. The results of the vote will be shared shortly after the second meeting.
Our members are front and centre in the development of our bargaining demands and what is presented to the employer for negotiations. We hope to see you there!
Members who attended voted 100 per cent in favour of presenting the in-going proposal package to employers. This means that ONA will move this proposal package forward and present it to your employers when we head to nursing homes provincial bargaining next month.
