We are now accepting nominations for the Nursing Homes Provincial Negotiating Team (NHPNT). The call is being initiated in time to prepare for the next round of bargaining; the nursing homes provincial collective agreement expires June 30, 2026.
The Call for Nominations package includes the following:

- Mandate – Nursing Homes Provincial Negotiation Team.
- Policy 18.6 - ONA Group/Provincial Negotiating Teams Elections.
To be considered eligible for nomination, candidates must submit the following documents via email to gro.a1747744806no@re1747744806ciffo1747744806larot1747744806celef1747744806eihc1747744806 by 4 p.m. ET, on May 30, 2025:
- A scanned copy of the candidate’s Nomination Form, fully completed.
- The candidate’s résumé in MS Word format, Tenorite 11.5 font.
- The candidate’s article in MS Word format, Tenorite 11.5 font.
- A photograph of the candidate (either pdf or jpeg format).
To remain eligible for nomination in the election, all candidates must attend a mandatory orientation session on the Group/Provincial Negotiating Teams Election Policy. This orientation will be held by zoom on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. ET.
It is important you review the Nomination Package to ensure your submission is complete and adheres to the standards set out. Failure to submit the required documents according to the standards outlined in this package will render your nomination null and void. We recommend that you submit your nomination materials at least 24 hours prior to closing to ensure you do not miss the deadline.
Orientation for the NHPNT is scheduled for October 27 and 28, 2025 and January 27-29, 2026. All elected team members are expected to attend.
Voting instructions with personal identification numbers (PIN) will be sent to all nursing home sector members with entitlements to vote by June 16, 2025 and online voting will be available until July 3, 2025 at 4 p.m. ET. Members in the nursing home sector will be entitled to vote for one full-time and one part-time candidate from their region, unless either or both positions have been acclaimed.
