Local action is ONA action. Our members provide care in hospitals, long-term care, public health, the community, clinics, and industry across Ontario. We change these places in ways no one else can, fighting for each other and for those who can’t fight for themselves.
We’re in this together. We are one ONA.

Our mission at ONA is to defend the rights of and advocate for nurses and health-care professionals who care for the health of Ontarians.
Our vision is empowered members taking collective action for safe, equitable workplaces and high-quality health care for all Ontarians.
Our Strategic Plan guides our decision-making and keeps us focused on what matters the most: to serve members more effectively. The six priorities are informed by our members, Bargaining Unit representatives, Local executives, Board members, and staff.
As a component of our Strategic Plan, our four-year Anti Racism and Anti-Oppression Action Plan guides our union in addressing the ongoing racism and oppression that exists for so many of our members and staff, and within our communities. The plan contains seven priority areas and 35 action items.
