On Thursday, March 26, we will host two webinars for nursing homes members where you can vote on bargaining demands.

The recent demand-setting meetings were attended by hundreds and allowed us to hear directly from our nursing homes members about your demands for next year’s provincial bargaining, set for April. Your elected Nursing Homes Provincial Negotiating Team – with the support of staff – will take back the ideas, feedback and suggestions from these meetings, to develop the proposals we will present to the employer. 

Join us on March 26 at 12 p.m. ET or at 6 p.m. ET to hear first-hand from your provincial negotiating team. They will present suggested amended collective agreement language developed from your demands, along with the reasoning behind the proposed language. You will have the opportunity to ask questions after each proposal.

Register online to attend and share this information with your colleagues. The deadline to register is March 25 at 4 p.m. ET.

This is your opportunity to give your negotiating team the green light to present these demands to your employer and start negotiating a renewal collective agreement. Voting will occur at these meetings and there will be no voting by proxy.

The results of the vote will be communicated to members shortly after the meetings.
